My bank rocks my socks off!

Wow, is the customer service at my bank helpful!

It was definitley not an error on their part (like I suspected), so they have filed a dispute for me, and will take up the fight with ETS to get my money back.

Hooray!

Who would have thought that I would tout praises of the engine of capitalism?

Well, my bank is a credit-union, which may explain why it rocks.

Oh, I forgot to ask if you had read about this (http://www.ajc.com/news/content/metro/atlanta/stories/2007/01/08/0109metwalk.html).

Yeah, isn't it insane???

I really don't know WHAT I would do if that happened to me. They'd probably end up charging me with police assualt or something. Before this happened, I probably would have assumed that they were rapists in disguise :P

Atlanta police are shitbags (I live less than an hour from there).

That poor historian!

YAY!

Glad to hear it. Banks and credit unions can be very helpful. And that's the occasionally fun thing about customer service--you can pit one awful, money-grubbing, good-for-nothing evil company against another. :)

You're right. It's a little bit like a mobster setting up two people they don't like to kill each other. One dies, and the other one gets done for murder and put away. It's win-win.

:-P

HA! We must not share banks.

Hello from a fellow [livejournal.com profile] applyingtograd member! Glad to hear that the bank has taken up your cause.

Also, hearing your saga about ETS makes me thankful that, in my case, the company merely sent my score reports much more slowly than advertised.

Thanks :)

I'm amazed that my score reports made it there at all. I must have sounded like such a spaz begging each university to accept my scores late, but to their credit, they all said it was fine!
